Abhiyum Naanum movie has decided to push its release date from Diwali to sometime in November.
A spokesperson of the film says that it is due to lack of theatres that Prakash Raj has decided to postpone the release date. He could only get dates in Sathyam and Inox in Chennai for Diwali. For a wider release, Prakash was forced to postpone the release to November.
A few days back, Prakash held a special screening for his industry friends and everyone who watched it loved it and fell for its subtle humour and sentiments. Trisha is said to have come out with an extraordinary performance, the best in her life!
It makes sense for Prakash Raj to postpone Abhiyum Naanum, as a good film with no big male stars would take a better opening if it gets a solo release. Diwali where mass films rule, is not the ideal time for a Radha Mohan film to release.

Remember Bhanu alias Muktha George, the heroine of Hari’s Vishal starrer Thamarabharani?
The young Malayalee girl held a press conference in Kochi alleging that her father was trying to sabotage her career.
She also alleged that her father has walked away with her life savings - all the money she made from movies. A few days earlier Muktha's dad George had held a press conference where he had said that his wife and her relatives have swindled all the money and he and his aged parents were thrown out of their house.
To clarify George’s allegations Muktha's mother Sally George and her relatives held a press meet. Says Muktha, who was sobbing throughout the press meet: " When I was studying in UKG, my father for no particular reason, deserted my mother. Those days we did not have money to buy some pills and commit suicide! My mother and my uncles worked hard by starting a beauty parlour and gave tuitions to support us."
When Muktha was doing her 8th standard, she made her debut in Lal Jose's off-beat Malayalam film ironically titled Achan Urangatha Veedu (The house where dad does not sleep). Soon, seeing her potential in films, her dad after many years came back and took over her career.
"It was the biggest mistake we made in our lives after Appa took over my career. He not only messed up my life, but also took all our savings, as the bank account and locker was in his name. He also forced me to wear skimpy clothes for a Tamil film (Thamarabharini?). Which father will do all this to his daughter?", asked Muktha, who broke down at the press meet.
Muktha's is a sad story that is happening in many households in Kerala, as the acting bug and lure of big screen catches on.
Actor Ajith Press Meet before aegan release
On Thursday (Oct 16), evening ‘Ultimate star’ Ajit held a “get together with the press”, at Park Sheraton in Chennai. Ajit holds these rituals every time a movie of his gets ready for release.
A large contingent of nearly 200 media men and women turned up from television, Internet, FM Radio stations, Mobile content uploaders, PRO’s, Newspapers and magazines.
Dressed smartly as usual in a black suit, the star went to each and every journo and chatted with them. He waited patiently and obliged those who wanted to be photographed with him.
Ajit and his PR men did a good job, as they won over the Chennai film media. Asked a young journalist: “Tell me one star in Kollywood, who will hold a party for the press, and freely mingle with them without any restrictions?”
However, those who went expecting the star to speak about his new film Aegan was disappointed, as he did not utter a word about the film. He also refused to give bytes or interviews as the media including hundreds of photographers swamped him
